Has anyone even been in a relationship that you want to express your emotions for someone, but the way you generally express your feelings is NOT how that person likes to receive affection? So if you express your feelings the way you generally would, that person doesn't actually receive the message you are trying to convey, thus making your actions mute.

Also if you express your emotions in the way they like to receive such things as love and devotion, there is a part of you unfulfilled because you feel you have not adequately expressed the message of affection you want.

I am curious if anyone else has had to deal with such a relationship and how you overcame such things?

  2. I understand that cats have this exact problem when they bring half eaten dead things back to their owners.

  3. there is a book about speaking someone else's love language though I don't know the name of it. the best you can do is learn to speak each others languages so that you both get what you want. :)
